Q1. What grades of Potassium
Carbonate and Potassium Bicarbonate are produced by Armand Products
Company? What are the specifications and particle size distribution
for each grade?
A1. Please contact Technical Service for further discussion.
Q2. Is Armand Products Potassium Carbonate calcined?
A2. Armand Products Potassium Carbonate is made in a fluidized
bed reactor and per se is not considered "calcined". Fluidized
bed is the preferred method of producing Potassium Carbonate
in the world because it produces a high density, low dust product.
Since the term "calcined" is often misused, the best way to
determine whether Armand Products' material is acceptable would
be to review the product specifications and your handling requirements
with Armand Technical Service.
Q3. Is there a food grade available? Does Potassium
Carbonate from Armand Products meet Food Chemical Codex (FCC),
U S Pharmacopeia/National Formulary (USP/NF) specifications?
A3. Please contact Technical Service for further discussion.
Q4. Is there a food grade Potassium Bicarbonate available
from Armand Products? Does your material meet American Chemical

A4. Armand Products sells ACS, USP and Technical grades of Potassium Bicarbonate.
The Technical Grade contains magnesium oxide that reduces moisture
adsorption and greatly improves its flowability. Flow K®, the food
grade equivalent, is available from the Church & Dwight Co., Inc (joint
venture partner). The Armand Products customer service department
can direct your inquiries.
Q5. Are the Potassium Carbonate and Potassium Bicarbonate
